Men’s Talk

The Australian Migrant Resource Centre (AMRC) has a Men’s Talk program to support young men, fathers and prospective fathers of migrant and refugee background from new and establishing communities in South Australia.

The program aims to educate participants on an array of topics including health, domestic and family violence, including the importance of positive role modelling for their children and community. The program also aims to provide men with a voice to express their needs and concerns, and breakdown negative stereotypes and perceptions holding men back from seeking assistance.

The program encourages men to open up and to engage in men empowering initiatives with their community.
